Bridal Track adventure

In the spirit of always looking for a bit of extra fun, alex and I
went bush on gurti this week. We had a great nights camping out on the
bridal track. We managed to get gurti all the way in to the junction
of the Macquarie and Turon rivers. It turned out to be a little more
challenging than we thought with 3 river crossings complete with big
rocks in the river bed and steep sandy river banks. We made it to the
junction only to find we had lost a bag off the bike. We had to
backtrack in search off all of our food and our stove. Luckily we
found it only a couple of kms back. We had a great camp beside a
beautiful billabong complete with a fox, goats, kangaroo's and a sea
eagle?
